green eyes

across volleyball courts

church benches

pickup seats

those green eyes 

make me forget how to breathe

you ask what my favorite color is

i want to say ''his eyes''

never have i seen such kindness 

in eyes.

those eyes care.

and i get to stare into them 

till we are 80. 

Lord don't let me take this for granted
